As part of the continuity of the establishment of a health infrastructure adapted to support the Royal Construction Site relating to the generalization of health coverage and social protection, particularly with regard to construction, rehabilitation and development primary health care establishments, the minister launched, in the presence of the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, governor of the prefecture of Casablanca, Mohamed Mhidia, the services of 15 urban and rural health centers, at the provincial level and prefectures in the Casablanca region.
In the province of Benslimane, 7 health centers have been launched. These are the level I urban health center “Mansouria”, 2 level II urban health centers with a birthing center, “Bouznika” and “Fdalate”, 2 level I rural health centers, “ Bir Nacer” and “Tlat Ziyaida”, and 2 rural dispensaries, “Khmiss Ahl Louta” and “Had Karassi”.
In the province of Settat, 3 urban and rural health centers have been put into service to serve the inhabitants of the covered areas. These are the level I urban health center of “Sidi Abdelkrim”, as well as the 2 level I rural health centers, “El Ghazouane” and “Sidi Boukrouh”.
Concerning the province of El Jadida, the services of the urban health center “Derb Ghallef” have been launched, in addition to the rural health dispensary “El kaamsa”, while the level 1 urban health center “Al Chabab” is entered service in the city of Mohammedia.
In addition, the province of Berrechid saw the launch of 3 urban and rural health centers. These are the Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Respiratory Diseases, as well as the Level I Urban Health Center “Bir Tour” and the Level II Health Center “Al Ahly”.
The establishment of these health services is part of the policy of rehabilitation and equipment of public health structures, following the Royal Instructions aimed at undertaking a radical and profound reform of the national health system in order to create the conditions conducive to the implementation of the Royal project of the generalization of health coverage and social protection.
Held in the presence of elected officials and civil society actors, this launch aims to strengthen the healthcare offer in the Casablanca-Settat region, which is experiencing a continuous demographic increase, as well as a growing demand for health services, and to bring health services closer to the citizens targeted by these establishments.
These health centers, which are part of the new generation of primary health care establishments, will provide a diverse range of health services and a basket of treatments including general and specialized medical consultations including the examination and treatment of respiratory diseases, nursing care, monitoring of chronic diseases, particularly tuberculosis, diabetes and high blood pressure, as well as monitoring of maternal and child health, school health, and health services health awareness and education.
The ministry has mobilized specialized human resources to ensure the medical and curative services provided to the population targeted by these health establishments, which cover more than 890,000 people.
He has also equipped these health centers with modern equipment and high-quality biomedical devices.
