The national team coach, Jesus Casas, announced the final list of players called up for the matches against Oman and Kuwait in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The Football Association stated in a statement received by the (INA) today, Sunday, that “the list consisted of (26) players, namely: Jalal Hassan, Ali Kazim, Hussein Hassan, Ayman Hussein, Ibrahim Bayesh, Osama Rashid, Youssef Amin, Ahmed McKenzie, Safaa Hadi, Amir Al-Ammari, Mustafa Saadoun, Hussein Ali, Zidane Iqbal, Ahmed Yahya, Mirkhas Doski, Mohammed Al-Taie, Ali Al-Hamadi, Muhannad Ali, Manaf Younis, Saad Natiq, Zaid Tahseen, Danilo Al-Saad, Rebin Sulaka, Louay Al-Ani, Amjad Atwan, and Ali Jassim.”
He added, “It is hoped that the national team will undergo its last training session this evening before concluding the Doha camp and heading to Basra tomorrow, Monday.”
He added, “The national team underwent a recovery training session this morning at the residence in Doha in the gym for all the players who participated in yesterday’s match against Al-Waab Club.”
