/ Our national team coach, Jesus Casas, said today, Saturday, that the match with South Korea was difficult against a team that is a strong competitor for the Asian Cup title.

This came after the end of the friendly match between Iraq and South Korea, which took place at New York University Stadium in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, and ended with the South Korean team winning by one goal to none.

Casas added that the match was beneficial for us in terms of watching our players and giving some of them a chance, praising the players’ performance as they played a good match.

He explained, “We will be content with playing one match because time is limited. In the coming days, we will focus on increasing the training doses here in Abu Dhabi, and we will try as much as possible to apply the technical aspects in the training units.”

At the end of his speech, Casas expressed his happiness with the support of the Iraqi public that he feels, indicating that his approach and plan in the future will be to establish a strong team capable of competing in all upcoming tournaments and events.
