Dindigul: In Dindigul, a case has been registered against Armed Police Constable Thangapandian, 38, for allegedly abusing a female police officer while intoxicated.
Thangapandian hails from Antipatti in Theni district. He worked as an armed police officer in Ramanathapuram. Departmental action was taken for violation of good conduct and he was transferred and joined the Dindigul Armed Forces 3 days ago. In this situation yesterday at 1:00 in the morning, Thangapandian was driving a car under the influence of alcohol and crashed near the Armed Forces Ground. Bystanders rescued him and admitted him to the government hospital for treatment. The female police officer who was on night duty there had misbehaved with the doctors. North police have registered a case against him.
