Thiruvananthapuram: Another person has been arrested in a case of spreading fake nude photos of a prominent Malayalam film-serial actress through social media. Bhagyaraj, a native of Sagarpur in New Delhi, was arrested. Bhagyaraj was arrested from New Delhi today by a special team investigating the case.
The accused was arrested by an investigation team led by City Police Commissioner Balram Kumar Upadhyay. Cyber Crime Assistant Commissioner T Shyamlal, Inspector SP Prakash, SIR Manu, police officers VS Vinesh, AS Sameer Khan and S Mini completed the investigation and arrested the accused. Earlier, police had arrested Manikandan Shankar, a native of Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, in connection with the same case.
The accused created a fake account in the name of the actress on Instagram and spread fake pictures of the actress through it. Based on the complaint lodged by the actress, the police team registered a case and started an investigation.
