Police have reportedly filed a case against a student who tried to commit suicide after being reprimanded by his uncle.
It is learned that a 14-year-old student from the Chavakachcheri area in Jaffna had bought firecrackers and detonated them last Sunday. The student’s uncle who saw it rebuked the student.
So the angry student goes to the garden and takes the disinfectant and drinks it. The family has admitted the student to the Chavakachcheri Medical College for treatment.
The student, who is being treated at the medical road, is currently recovering and police are reportedly suing him in court for attempted suicide.
