Chennai: An appeal has been filed in the Chennai High Court against the boycott of Tamil Nadu state vehicles at the 26th Republic Day celebrations to be held in Delhi. Every year the Republic Day parade is attended by decorative vehicles from all states. This practice has been in place since the Republic of India year. As a result, decorative vehicles from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal were denied permission for this year’s Republic Day celebrations. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and various political party leaders strongly condemned this.

In this context, on behalf of the Chennai High Court Advocate Babu, the Chief Justice in charge Muniswar Nath Bandari, before the Advocate Ms. George Ajaraki, Justice Adikesavalu, denied permission for Tamil Nadu vehicles at the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi. He appealed that the decorative vehicles of Tamil Nadu should be ordered to take part in the rally. Hearing this, the judges said that the case would be taken up for hearing on Monday if a proper petition is filed.
