In the West Kazakhstan region, two cases of metapneumovirus were identified in children under 14 years of age.
As reported by AZERTAC with reference to Kazakh media, sanitary doctors called on residents of the region to observe preventive measures to reduce the risk of the spread of infection, Day.Az reports.
Recommendations include: ventilate rooms, avoid crowded places, limit contact with sick people and isolate them. We ask you to pay special attention to children, do not send them to kindergartens and schools if cold symptoms appear. If the condition worsens, you should seek medical help.
According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 30 cases of metapneumovirus have already been registered in the country.
Human metapneumovirus is one of the classic viruses that has been circulating in many countries for decades.
