Cash and Huawei Technologies will work together to transform the digital transaction experience of the people of the country. For this purpose, the two parties have signed an agreement. The company says that this agreement will give the people of the country a world-class smart transaction experience through cash.

On Tuesday (July 9) in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, an agreement was signed between Bangladesh’s best mobile financial services company Nagad Limited and Huawei Technologies at the Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing.

In a press release, Naqd said, as a result of this agreement, the existing facilities of Naqd Digital Bank and Naqd Mobile financial services will be integrated with all the latest technologies of the world. As a result, as a customer of the country’s first digital bank, cash customers can enjoy international quality transaction services at any time from any place.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the company Tanveer A Mishuk signed the agreement on behalf of Nagd. Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali, Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Private Industry and Investment Salman F Rahman, State Minister for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak and Chairman of Nagad Digital Bank Farid Khan were present on the occasion.

Pan Junfeng, President of Huawei South Asia and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Huawei Bangladesh, signed the agreement on behalf of Huawei. At that time, several ministers and officials of the Chinese government were present. At this time, the Vice Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Li Fei, lauded the incredible contribution of cash to the growth and financial inclusion of Bangladesh.

Regarding the agreement, Farid Khan, chairman of Naqd Digital Bank, said, ‘Naqd as a mobile financial service has revolutionized the financial sector of Bangladesh in the last five years. Now it’s time to take it global. Cash and Huawei will jointly do the work in Bangladesh. Cash Digital Bank will play a unique role in this field; Through which great progress will be made in building Smart Bangladesh.

He also said, ‘We have this agreement with the world-renowned company Huawei Technologies to ensure the technological development needed to build a 100% cashless society. Through this the customers of MFS and Digital Bank of Bangladesh will get world class service experience. As a result, digital transactions will be more secure, convenient and affordable.’

Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has started her visit to China from July 8 in view of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh-China diplomatic relations next year. Several agreements and memorandums of understanding are being signed during this visit. When Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Bangladesh eight years ago, it was said that the economic relations between the two countries had been upgraded from traditional economic relations to strategic cooperation. Later, during the Bangladesh Prime Minister’s visit to China, China was mentioned as a close strategic partner for the development of Bangladesh.

Huawei’s agreement with Cash is a continuation of cooperation between the two countries, which is also important in the global context of digital transactions. As a result of this agreement, some completely new financial services and products will be launched in Bangladesh for customers, which will play a role in changing the digital transaction system of the country in the future.

Five years ago, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s hand in hand, Naq got a full license as the country’s first digital bank a few days ago. In the journey of mobile financial services, the company has become the largest financial institution with nine crore customers in the shortest time. At present, the daily cash transaction is Tk 1800 crore. The company has already received state recognition as the fastest unicorn in the country.
