Casio partners with Hodinkee for a special G-SHOCK Ref. 5600 – Arkade

A Hoursa website specializing in watches, is concluding its collaborative trilogy with G-Shocklaunching a special limited edition Ref. 5600 in partnership with Ben Clymerfounder and president of Hours. Under the curatorship of John Mayerthis latest watch not only celebrates a full circle for the founder and the brand, but also represents the first to bear the name of Clymer.

Inspired by the iconic G-SHOCK DW-5600this collaborative reference stands out in a resin case dipped in the company’s distinctive gray tone. Hours. Adding a touch of contrast, the watch’s strap is an elegant dark gray, while the guard features an olive green hue, harmonizing with the dial.

Instead of the logo CASIO that normally adorns the top of the dial, you can now view the letters “NYC TYO ATL” recorded. These initials symbolize the three headquarters of the brands: NYC and ATL represent the offices of Hours in New York and Atlanta, respectively, while TYO is a tribute to the headquarters of G-Shock in Tokyo.

The back of the box displays the recordings “BEN CLYMER” e “CLOCKWISE”accompanied by a thank you note and the Latin expression “Be seen” — translated as “To be, rather than to seem.” Priced at $185, the G-Shock Ref. 5600 By Ben Clymer is now available on Clock Shop.
