The humorous drama “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?” was based on a South Korean comic (known as “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?”) and debuted on small screens in 2018. The K-drama is about the life of the vice president of a large company, who is incredibly narcissistic and never pays attention to anything but himself. The protagonist Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon) is vice president of Yoomyung Group, his family’s company, and one of the most narcissistic men in the world: as everything revolves around him, he doesn’t really realize the depth of events and the feelings of the people around you. Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young) is his trusted secretary who has been massaging his boss’s overinflated ego for nine years, but who suddenly decides to leave her position at the company and resign.
Stunned by secretary Kim’s boldness and audacity in leaving him, Young-joon considers all possible possibilities (but only those that have something involving him) for the girl to have resigned, and comes to the conclusion that he needs to solve the mystery. . So, for the first time in his life, he tries not to be the center of attention in order to understand what goes on in other people’s minds.

Kim decided to leave the company because she already had enough financial stability to no longer need to work, which leads her to face some of the ghosts of her past and leave her life in order. Young-joon, on the other hand, gets it all wrong and thinks she stepped down because she’s in love with him.
In this fun romantic comedy, Young-joon learns to focus on people other than himself as he realizes that former secretary Kim may be more interesting than he thought. The cast still features names like Lee Tae-hwan and Kang Ki-young, and the K-drama can be watched on the Rakuten Viki streaming service.
