Film star Samyukta removed the caste tail from the name. The actor said that he will no longer use his real name Samyukta Menon and will only use the name Samyukta on his social media accounts. The actor has given only ‘Samyukta’ on Instagram. The joint name change was made public in an interview with Tamil media ‘Gallatta Media’. The joint interview was given as part of the promotions of the movie ‘Vaathi’.
‘Just call me Samyukta. Menon was there before. But I have been asked to remove it from the films I am acting in. Menon had already been removed from social media handles,’ said Samyukta. The presenter appreciated Samyukta for dropping the jati val from the name.
Dhanush and Samyukta starrer Vaathi will hit the theaters on February 17. The movie is hitting theaters in Telugu-Tamil languages. The movie is written and directed by Venky Alluri. GV Prakash will direct the music.
