BOLZANO. The security guard of the Ovs had noticed two men hiding some children’s clothing in a backpack: he intervened, ordering both of them to return the goods; in response, the older of the two – later identified as a 37-year-old Tunisian with multiple convictions for crimes against property and illegal entry into the national territory – began to threaten the security guard and then violently hit him with fists in the chest. During his escape he was blocked by police officers who in the meantime had been called by the other employees of the shop.
It happened on Monday afternoon, August 5th in Bolzano.
The police, after recovering all the stolen goods, returned them to the store manager. Treated at the emergency room, the security guard suffered injuries that will heal in 5 days.
The 37-year-old was arrested for improper robbery and injuries. The accomplice, an 18-year-old Tunisian also with a criminal record, was reported at large.
The police commissioner of Bolzano Paolo Sartori has issued a warrant against the arrested person expulsion decree which will become operational once the subject is released from prison.
