The match started with a clear chance for the visitors. In the 2nd minute, Martín Cauteruccio received a pass inside the area and attempted a turn that nearly caught ‘Pato’ Álvarez off guard.
Minutes later, the first controversy arrived. In the 14th minute, Neri Bandiera stepped into the area and fell. The referee decided not to award a penalty, a decision that was approved by the VAR. Four minutes later, the first goal came.
In the 18th minute, Atlético Grau was awarded a free kick at the heart of the area, which was well capitalized by Neri Bandiera, who headed the ball to make it 1-0 for the home side.
In the second half, the Celeste team pushed higher and took advantage of an error to level the game. In the 62nd minute, Fernando Pacheco received the ball on the left side and sent a cross to the heart of the area, which the Uruguayan exploited with a header to make it 1-1.
