Glesnes won 2-0 after 39 minutes of the game, which was played on Thursday night Norwegian time. Norway’s centre-back put the ball into the net after a corner.

The Union eventually won 5-1 and five minutes before the end there was great excitement when 14-year-old Cavan Sullivan entered the field for the first time in MLS. He broke Freddy Adu’s record from 2004, as the youngest ever MLS debut.

Sullivan managed to play his first minute in MLS at the age of 14 years and 293 days. That is 13 days younger than when Adu set the record in 2004.

A great future awaits the great talent of the Union. Sullivan will have an agreement to become a Manchester City player in 2027, when he will be 18. He reported, among others ESPN when Sullivan signed a contract with Union in May.

Then Sullivan also said he could be the youngest player ever in MLS.

– It would be great to have my first record, but it doesn’t mean much to me. It’s not about where you start, but where you end up, Sullivan said then.
