The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially closed the investigation into the disappearance of Jesna, a second year undergraduate student of Kanjirapally SD College, which has been a cause of great concern. Jesna went missing on March 22, 2018, and despite extensive efforts by local police, the crime branch, and CBI, she has not been found.

In a statement to the court, the CBI confirmed that they were unable to locate Jesna and there was no evidence to suggest what may have happened to her. The agency also expressed that without crucial information, they were unable to proceed with the investigation.

The case garnered widespread attention, with IG Manoj Abraham leading the investigation at various stages. In a bid to gather information, a reward of up to five lakh rupees was offered for anyone who could provide information about Jesna’s whereabouts. However, despite several claims of Jesna being found, none of them turned out to be true.

Following a petition from Jesna’s brother Jace John James, KSU leader Abhijith, and others, the case was handed over to the CBI for further investigation. However, with no substantial leads or evidence, the CBI has now concluded their investigation into the case.

The closure of the investigation has left Jesna’s family and the community with unanswered questions and has once again shed light on the issues surrounding missing persons cases in the country. With the case now closed, the search for Jesna continues, and her loved ones are left hoping for a breakthrough in the future.
