CBI files charge sheet against 5 accused including A. Raza

The CBI has filed a charge sheet in the Madras Special Court against 5 persons, including former Union Minister A. Raza, for spending more than their income.

Raza, a former Union Minister and MP from Nilgiri Constituency, during the last period from 1999 to 2010, earned more than Rs. The CBI registered a case of loss of assets to the tune of 27 crore 92 lakhs. In other words, 575 percent more than the income was invested in the property, it was said in the complaint. In this case registered in 2015, 16 people including Raza and his family were accused.

Meanwhile, the CBI conducted raids in places like Chennai, Perambalur, Trichy and seized various documents. Based on them, the investigation in this case was going on. In this case, a charge sheet has been filed against Raza. A chargesheet has been filed by the CBI in the Chennai Special Court against 5 people, including former minister Raza, for misappropriating assets to the tune of 5 crore 53 lakh rupees. CBI sources said that documents related to 2G spectrum spectrum allocation have also been leaked in this charge sheet.
