CBI held a special meeting with representatives of foreign countries during the Interpol conference

New Delhi: CBI is on the lookout for international criminals who have left India. The CBI held crucial meetings during the 90th General Assembly of Interpol, the international police force. Britain, America, Japan, Australia, Russia, Canada, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, New Zealand, along with officials of smaller countries also participated in the meeting.

CBI officials shared information with rulers and police chiefs of various countries. It is indicated that the detailed reports on the international criminals arrested in India were discussed and the information of the criminals to be extradited was given to the representatives of the Ministry of External Affairs.

This includes the rapid exchange of information on criminals between different countries, the current whereabouts of fugitive criminals, and information on international drug and human trafficking rings. The meeting also exchanged information on cybercriminals, who need a lot of effort globally, and large mafia groups that use children for sex.
