The ongoing season of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) is nearing its end. The tenth round of the league season has already ended. The league season will end on April 19. After that, the Damama of the Super League will play.

The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) wants to finish the Super League by April, before the Zimbabwe series. The matches will be played from April 22 to April 30 with a break of one day.

If the clubs object to this plan of the CCDM, then a two-day break will be given between the games. CCDM sources confirmed the matter to RisingBD. The final decision will be taken at the CCDM meeting on April 20.

CCDM sources said, ‘We are moving ahead with the plan to complete it in April. The decision will be made on the 20th. If the clubs object, then the field will be built until May 5. Let’s see what happens.’

Clubs are less likely to object. Because Bangladesh will play a 5-match T20 series against Zimbabwe at the beginning of May. The clubs will not get the cricketers who are in the T20 squad if the Super League starts in May.

There is usually a two-day break between Super League games. There is one reserve day in it due to storms and rains. CCDM wants to reduce the break to one day. A break day can be a reserve day.

This year’s league started on March 11. Played in Mirpur, BKSP and Fatulla. Meanwhile, Australia women’s T20 series was not played in Mirpur. The Super League matches will also be held in these three fields.

So far Abahani Limited has won every match after 10 rounds. Along with Abahani, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club is also confirmed in the Super League. Shinepukur, Mohammedan Sporting, Prime Bank Cricket Club, Legends of Rupganj and Gazi Group Cricketers will fight for the remaining 4 places. Shinepukur and Mohammedan have 14 points and the other 3 teams have 12 points.
