The CCH Oriente reported the suspension of activities due to a “health emergency”, without specifying the exact causes.

The first versions indicate that on the afternoon of this Thursday, October 10, an incident of self-attack by a student with a knife was recorded in the presence of classmates, causing authorities to quickly evacuate the campus.

Through the school’s official X account, a statement was issued announcing the suspension of classes for the rest of the shift.

So far the campus authorities have not given the official version of what happened.

According to some testimonies from students, the authorities hindered the passage of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and the paramedics, also ensuring through social networks that the young man achieved his objective.

Through WhatsApp groups, students on campus are calling for a march to mourn the poor administration of the school, and the disregard for their mental health.

According to the official statement issued by the UNAM, the possession of the knife by the student is confirmed, who sustained injuries to various parts of his body.

Campus authorities called the ambulance, which transported the minor to the Moctezuma Pediatric Hospital, part of the Mexico City Government hospital network.

The student is reported to be stable and the CCH reiterates its support in the hospitalization process.

Due to this incident, work on the campus will also be suspended tomorrow, Friday, October 11, so that the authorities can carry out investigations.
