SÃO PAULO (Reuters) – CCR (BVMF:) obtained, through its subsidiary Aeris (BVMF:), an additional ten-year extension to the concession contract for Juan Santamaria International Airport, according to a material fact this Wednesday.

The company said that an amendment to the contract was approved by the competent authorities in Costa Rica, establishing a recovery of the economic-financial balance of the concession in the order of 109.3 million dollars, due to the impacts of Covid-19. In addition to the extension for an additional ten years, the recomposition will be carried out via an additional fee of 1.56 per passenger.

The initial term of the agreement was until 2026. CCR indirectly holds a 97% interest in Aeris.
