With the objective of exchanging opinions of specialists and analyzing projects around the implementation of the new laws on Environmental Responsibility and Protection and Welfare of Animals, the capital congress held a discussion about the environmental situation in Mexico City.
By opening the dialogue, deputy Estuardo Rubio Gualito (PVEM) recognized the existence of various challenges to comply with the proper implementation of this new law, such as having the necessary resources and raising awareness among citizens about these regulations.

In his participation, biologist Alan Enrique Heres Rojas referred to the areas of opportunity that can be strengthened in environmental legislation and the need to encourage citizen participation in caring for the environment and sentient beings, granting incentives to sustainable companies and educating on the impact of environmental damage.
For his part, the head of the Animal Care Agency (Agatan), Fernando Esquivel Lacroix, highlighted that the capital has a great biodiversity of native fauna that is not taken into account when talking about animal welfare, while regretting that, according to With local studies, between 10 and 40 percent of pets are homeless.
