Ensure that there is more research into complaints and conditions to which women are more sensitive. “They are less likely to get a correct diagnosis because a lot of research is based on a male body.” According to professor of Gynecology Herman Depypere (UZ Gent), women are still too often prescribed medicines that are now known to be especially suitable for men.
