“Cease to exist”: Russia in dramatic threat to Europe

by time news

Head of the Russian Parliament (Duma) Vyacheslav Volodin Came out today (Tuesday) with a stern warning to the West, declaring that “Europe will be wiped off the map” if Western countries supply nuclear-capable missiles to Ukraine. The threat came after Poland’s former foreign minister suggested that Ukraine’s allies could supply it with nuclear weapons if necessary.

Volodin, who is close to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Wrote in his telegram account that Poland – along with the rest of Europe – would “cease to exist” if Russia was threatened. “With such deputies, Europeans will have much more serious problems than those who have already faced them today (refugees, record inflation, energy crisis). The former Polish minister is provoking a nuclear dispute in Central Europe. He does not think about the future of Ukraine or the future of Poland. “In the event that his proposals materialize, these countries will cease to exist, and so will Europe.”

Following Ukraine’s declaration of independence, following the fall of the Soviet Union, in 1994 the government agreed to destroy its nuclear arsenal and join the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Despite Russia joining the NPT at the time, the former Polish foreign minister claimed that Putin had violated the terms of the agreement with the invasion of Ukraine.
