Celebrating 12 Years of Football Night: A Gala of Music, Awards, and Charitable Spirit in St. Gallen

by time news

The Football Night will celebrate its 12th anniversary on October 26, 2024, at the Olmahalle 9.1 in St. Gallen. This year, the gala night will again showcase musical diversity, first-class entertainment, and significant awards. Two well-known musicians will enrich the program, along with two DJs.

Baschi will perform as the star guest of the evening. Since his breakthrough with “Bring en hei”, the official anthem for the Football European Championship 2008, Baschi has celebrated numerous successes and established himself as one of Switzerland’s most successful artists. His hits like “Wenn das Gott wüsst” and “Halt mi” have stormed the charts, making the Baselbieter a guarantee for an exciting show. Baschi will captivate the audience at the Olmahalle with his energetic performance.

New this year is a Sideshow Act that will further enrich the gala. The Toggenburg native Remo Forrer, winner of “The Voice of Switzerland” 2020 and participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, will bring a fresh and impressive voice to the stage. The talented singer has made a name for himself in a short time and will delight the audience with his interpretations and charismatic presence.

Providing the musical backdrop before and after the gala will be two well-known figures from the East Swiss DJ scene, who have also made a name for themselves internationally: Tanja La Croix and Mirkolino. Tanja La Croix, who is known as a DJ and model both in Switzerland and internationally, will again get the audience dancing with her electrifying beats. Her appearances at major festivals and in renowned clubs worldwide have made her a staple in the music scene. DJ Mirkolino, known for his unique mixes of house, techno, and electronic music, will round off the evening with his sets and keep the guests in a party mood until the early morning hours.

In addition to the musical highlights, the Football Night, hosted again in 2024 by Lukas Studer, will be marked by significant awards. Six awards will be presented: to the Player and Player of the Year, the Club of the Year, the Coach of the Year, the Official of the Year, and the Fairest Club of the Year. These awards honor outstanding achievements and special commitment in East Swiss football, just as they do every year.

The proceeds from the gala night will be donated in the form of a check for 100,000 Swiss francs to Future Champs Ostschweiz. This donation supports the promotion of young football talents in the region and significantly contributes to the development of East Swiss football.

An essential success factor for the substantial amount that the volunteer organizing committee can transfer to our football youth each year is the large tombola: in 2024, there will be prizes worth 250,000 Swiss francs to be won.

The 12th Football Night will thus not only be a highlight for football fans but for everyone who wants to experience an unforgettable mix of sport, music, and entertainment. With a lineup that offers something for every taste, and the honoring of outstanding personalities in East Swiss football, the Football Night 2024 will undoubtedly be remembered fondly.
