This ceremony, marked by the presence in particular of the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, Mohamed Mhidia, began with the salute of the national colors to the sound of the national anthem, before parades were presented by the various police units.
In a speech on this occasion, the Prefect of Police of Casablanca, Abdellah El Ouardi, emphasized the efforts made daily and at different levels by the police services to face security challenges at the local level, noting that the international influence of the DGSN reflects its commitment to the reform project launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
In this regard, the official stressed that the services of the prefecture of Casablanca are determined to implement the DGSN strategy in support of good governance which aims, in particular, to combat terrorism, extremism, electronic crimes and drug trafficking, as well as the protection of women, children and people with disabilities.
Regarding the fight against crime, the security services have achieved, thanks to an interactive and effective approach, a crime suppression rate of 94% between May 16, 2023 and April 16, 2024, he said, specifying that this year was also marked by the seizure of large quantities of drugs thanks to collaboration with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance.
On another note, Mr. El Ouardi returned to the facilitation of procedures and deadlines, welcoming the collaboration between the different actors involved in security action, and the modernization of logistical, technical and scientific tools, the strengthening of human capital and the consolidation of the security services fleet.
This ceremony was marked by the decoration of several executives and officials of the DGSN of Wissams Royaux, in the presence of security and military officials, magistrates, representatives of external services, local elected officials as well as associative actors.
