The celebration was attended by several dignitaries, including Nusrat Ghani, Minister of State at the Department of Business and Commerce, Minister of State for the Investment Security Unit and Minister of Industry and Economic Security, as well as representatives of the British government, the diplomatic community accredited to the Court of St James, and members of the Moroccan community established in the United Kingdom.
On this occasion, the Moroccan Ambassador to London, Hakim Hajoui, highlighted the stability, prosperity and growth enjoyed by the Kingdom of Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The diplomat highlighted the bold and visionary approach of His Majesty the King through major political, economic and social reforms, which have guided the Kingdom towards modernity and development, while preserving the age-old traditions that define Moroccan identity.
Mr. Hajoui also returned to the significance of this celebration, symbol of the strong bonds of communion and unwavering attachment between the Moroccan people and their Sovereign.
The ambassador also stressed “the key role of the Moroccan community in the United Kingdom in the rapprochement between the two countries, a role that is all the more important today in a context where Morocco is increasingly adopting Anglo-Saxon models, in accordance with the new development model launched by His Majesty the King.”
This celebration was also an opportunity to commemorate the excellent relationship between Morocco and the United Kingdom. “A relationship built on shared values and many complementarities, and with promising bilateral prospects based on mutual understanding of respective priorities and expectations, and on the continued strengthening of the human ties that unite the two Kingdoms,” he said.
On this occasion, Mrs. Ghani praised the “exceptional leadership” of HM King Mohammed VI, describing him as a “visionary leader, a force for stability and prosperity.”
She also expressed her gratitude to Morocco “for its friendship as one of the UK’s most trusted African allies”, before highlighting the positive impact of this relationship.
The guests from Morocco, present at this event, wished to express their warm and respectful congratulations to the Very High Attention of His Majesty the King, on the occasion of the Throne Feast.
