Celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Revolution in Zanzibar

Zanzibar commemorates the 60th anniversary of its Revolution in an atmosphere of solidarity and tension. The Prime Minister of Burundi highlighted African unity in the face of regional challenges.

Zanzibar (New Amani Stadium), 12/01/2024 – In line with Burundi’s foreign policy, an atmosphere of both joy and tension reigned in Zanzibar, exacerbated by the controversial presence of President Kagame of Rwanda, often perceived as an African traitor in the region, working for the GUAN [1] against the Pan-African ideal.

Mr. Ndirakobuca Gervais, Lieutenant-General of Police and Prime Minister of Burundi, honored with his presence the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Glorious Revolution of Zanzibar. In his speech, he congratulated the Zanzibaris for these sixty years of revolution and expressed his gratitude to Tanzania for its constant support to Burundi in difficult times, emphasizing the family solidarity between the two nations.

The Burundian Prime Minister welcomed the presence of high-ranking personalities such as HE Mwinyi Hussein Ali, President of Zanzibar and the Revolutionary Council; HE Mzee Museveni Yoweri, President of Uganda; HE Suluhu Samia Hassan, President of Tanzania; HE Jakaya Kikwete, former President of Tanzania; and HE Rigathi Gachagua, Vice-President of Kenya.

The African Great Lakes region is currently destabilized on the security level by GUAN, which uses Rwanda in its maneuverss. GUAN is opposed to the “African Chinese Silk Road” Tanzania – DRC. In this new era of the multipolar world, BRICS+ today represent an alternative to the American neocolonial and neoliberal model. Africa has already made its choice…
