In June, during the premiere of the documentary “I Am: Celine Dion,” the singer told the Associated Press that returning to artistic life required “physical, mental, emotional, and vocal” therapy.

“That’s why it takes a little time. But we are doing this because I am already a little back,” said the singer, who had previously performed at the opening of the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.

At the opening ceremony of the XXXIII Olympiad, ‘Eternity’ was celebrated in the Tuileries Garden, with a parade of prominent names in French sports, from Laure Manaudou to Renaud Lavillenie, with judoka Teddy Riner and the historic Marie-José Perec lighting an Olympic flame in the shape of a hot air balloon, illuminating the Parisian sky, where it will hover until the end of the Games, while the awaited Céline Dion concluded a ceremony that was always building.
