High-tech for the ears: In the weekly podcast “Tech-Freaks”, BILD technology reporters Sven Schirmer and Martin Eisenlauer talk about gadgets, games and the wide Internet.
Apple scans its iPhones
At first it sounds scary: Apple wants to use artificial intelligence to scan and analyze the content of its users’ private data. After all, it’s for a good reason. A new software is to recognize child pornography and report the files found to an aid organization. In addition, parents should receive a warning if their offspring receive or send nude pictures themselves. To do this, the program not only searches all data on the iPhone, but also material that is stored in the iCloud database. In the USA, the function is due to start in the fall. It is still unclear whether and when it will come to Germany.
The podcast is also about smart soap dispensers, a new 99-cent tariff from Spotify, the loss of users with the Playstation Plus gaming subscription and a new voice for Alexa.
Have fun!
