CEMAC: Gabon launches a new bond loan of 150 billion FCFA

DIG/ The Central African Financial Market Supervisory Commission (COSUMAF) authorized, on June 9, 2023, the Gabonese State to carry out a bond loan operation by public call for savings for an amount of 150 billion CFA francs through the registration of its information document under the reference “COSUMAF-APE-03/23”.

The operation, called “EOG 6.25% Net 2023-2028” aims the “clearance of moratoriums in the portfolio at the General Debt Directorate (DGD)” and the “financing of priority projects of the Transformation Acceleration Plan (PAT)” in Gabon.

The amount of 150 billion is issued in the form 15 million bonds with a nominal value of 10,000 CFA francs, with a minimum subscription of 50 securities (500,000 CFA francs).

The bond issue will be repaid over a 5-year maturity with a one-year grace period.

Investors, individuals and legal entities in the CEMAC zone or outside the region can subscribe to the operation from June 15 to August 31, 2023.
