Last night (Thursday) the Dana International tribute event, which took place as part of Iggy’s 20th anniversary celebrations, was broadcast last night (Thursday), with a skit featuring the characters Ramsey Abd Ramsey and Shira Steinbuch from the Kaan 11 show “Kopa Rashteh”.

The segment performed by Amir Shorush and Noa Kohler was not broadcast on the transmitter itself, and this was according to the demand of Kaan 11, which banned the broadcast. The production of the show contacted here and asked for permission to broadcast the segment, but here they refused.

Here she said in response: “Iggy’s request to use the materials for a fundraising event was answered positively and approved, and indeed they were used at the event. If Keshet had applied to broadcast the segments, they would have responded positively, as they responded a week before when segments from ‘Kupa Rastah’ were approved for broadcasting a fundraiser of ‘Krembo wings'”.

The event itself took place at the end of August at the Performing Arts Center in Tel Aviv, and among the artists who performed were Gila Almagor, Gali Atari, Korin Alel, Zahava Ben, Nonu, Anna Zak, Roni Dalomi, Dafna Dekel and Orna Detz. In addition, among those present were Prime Minister Yair Lapid and his wife Lihya and even International’s mother, Galim Cohen’s daughter.
