Omegron, which set foot in the country by spreading to 2 people in Karnataka on the 2nd, has spread to Marathas, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Chandigarh and Tamil Nadu. As of yesterday, 82 people across the country had been affected by the omega.

In this context, the number of omega-3 cases in India today has risen to 111. The maximum is 40 in Maratha, 22 in Delhi, 17 in Rajasthan, 8 each in Karnataka and Telangana, 7 in Kerala, 5 in Gujarat, 5 each in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh and West Bengal, according to the Central Health Department.

Speaking at the press conference, the ICMR director said it was better to avoid unnecessary trips, gatherings and New Year celebrations. It is best to impose some restrictions on all those districts where the infection rate is above 5%. He said the move could be followed for at least two weeks.
