In Panama, the Kingdom’s embassy organized a reception marked by the presence of several high-ranking Panamanian personalities including the Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations in charge of political relations, Carlos Ruiz-Hernández.

Speaking on this occasion, the Moroccan ambassador to this country, Bouchra Boudchiche, highlighted the profound change that Morocco is experiencing under the reign of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. It is a reform dynamic which has elevated the Kingdom to the rank of an emerging country, she indicated, noting that the Sovereign always places the Moroccan citizen at the center of State policies.

The diplomat added that Morocco has preserved its traditional role of facilitator of dialogue and support for peace and stability, noting that the Kingdom opted for a consensual political solution to the question of the Moroccan Sahara, and submitted in 2007 the autonomy plan which continues to garner broad support from the major world powers as the one and only solution to this regional dispute.

In this regard, Ms. Boudchiche recalled that Panama has expressed its strong support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative, thus giving a remarkable boost to bilateral relations.

For his part, the Panamanian Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations expressed the warm congratulations of the President of Panama to His Majesty the King and the Moroccan people, thereby saluting the ancestral history and culture of the Kingdom.

Mr. Ruiz-Hernández also welcomed the accelerated development that Morocco is experiencing under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King, noting that the Kingdom has become a key player on the international scene, and a great facilitator of peace, security and stability in the world.

The Panamanian official also expressed his country’s desire to further strengthen its relations with Morocco, citing Morocco’s strategic geographic positioning at the crossroads of Africa, Europe and the Arab world.

A similar reception organized by the Moroccan embassy in Guatemala was marked by the presence of several political figures, and from the business and media worlds, in addition to members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organizations, members of Congress and the Central American Parliament, and Moroccans established in Guatemala.

The ceremony was enhanced in particular by the presence of the Minister of Foreign Relations, Carlos Ramiro Martínez, who expressed his congratulations to His Majesty the King on this happy occasion, and praised the positive development of bilateral relations, the fruitful cooperation which links the two countries and their firm desire to further develop these relations.

In a speech on this occasion, the Ambassador of Morocco, Tarik Louajri highlighted the achievements accomplished in Morocco since the accession of His Majesty the King to the Throne of His glorious Ancestors both in the political domain and in the socio-economic and environmental, recalling the political reforms launched in Morocco thanks to the wise policy of the Sovereign.

In El Salvador, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Moroccan embassy, ​​Brahim Badi, underlined, during a similar reception, the capital importance of the Throne Day for the Moroccan people, recalling the dynamic of modernization initiated under the impulse of the Sovereign in all areas.

This ceremony took place in the presence of eminent Salvadoran personalities, including the Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations, Adriana Mira, the Minister of National Education, representatives of the Legislative Assembly and the Central American Parliament, as well as several mayors of Salvadoran cities, diplomats accredited to El Salvador and Moroccans established in this country.

Mr. Badi also spoke of the growing support for Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara and the autonomy initiative by international powers.

He also praised the positive dynamics experienced by relations between Morocco and El Salvador, the coordination between the two countries in international forums and the concordance of views on a number of international and regional issues.

For her part, Ms. Mira welcomed the excellent relations between Morocco and El Salvador, based on mutual respect, stressing that her country considers Morocco as a major ally and a partner of choice in Africa.

The Salvadoran deputy minister noted that the opening of El Salvador’s first embassy in Africa in Rabat is an eloquent illustration of the excellent relations between the two countries, and of President Nayib Bukele’s desire to develop relations with African countries starting from Morocco.
