Central Bank Agreement Necessary to Avoid Massive Demonstrations

by times news cr

Economic and political analyst Sami Radwan said that representatives of the House of Representatives, the High Council of State, the Presidential Council and politicians participating in the negotiations to resolve the Central Bank crisis sponsored by the United Nations Mission in Libya do not place the ordinary Libyan citizen at the top of their priorities, nor do they take into account the potential negative impact of this crisis on his life and daily livelihood.

“They are mainly focused on their own narrow personal interests, which is very unfortunate,” he told Ain Libya. “Therefore, it is imperative that they reach an agreement to end this conflict immediately, otherwise the Libyan people may take to the streets in massive demonstrations that could have dire consequences for everyone.”

He continued: “All parties must realize that the public interest is above all considerations, and that the continuation of this crisis will lead to an exacerbation of citizens’ suffering and a further deterioration of economic and living conditions.”

Sami Radwan added: “It is time to put their differences aside and work hard to find sustainable solutions that ensure economic and financial stability in the country, and achieve the interests of the entire Libyan people.”
