The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and Visa discussed the expansion of non-cash payments in public transport, Day.Az reported on Wednesday.
According to the CBA, the delegation headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Rashad Orujov met with the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of Visa for the CIS and South-Eastern Europe Kristina Dorosh.
It is noted that during the meeting, issues such as the expansion of cashless payments in public transport, the introduction of the concept of a “smart city” and “smart village”, as well as the prevention of fraud with digital payments were discussed.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on promising initiatives being implemented within the framework of cooperation between the structures.
