## ⁣Central Bank Auction‍ Sees Rise in Foreign Remittances

The Central Bank’s foreign currency auction today, Wednesday, saw a significant increase in​ foreign remittances, reaching ​$187 million compared to last Monday.

A central bank⁣ spokesperson stated that during today’s auction, the bank sold‍ $203‌ million, $721,600 in US ‌dollars. The ⁣transactions were ‌conducted ‍at a ‍basic exchange rate of 1305 ‍dinars per ‍dollar for documentary credits and⁢ international settlements ‍for electronic cards, and at a rate‌ of 1310 dinars ‍per ⁢dollar⁤ for⁤ foreign transfers and cash.

The majority of the dollar sales were utilized for strengthening balances abroad through ⁢transfers⁢ and ⁢credits, amounting to $187.551.6 million, representing ⁤a ‌91% increase from cash sales ​of $16.17 million.

⁢ ​ Five banks participated in the cash ⁢dollar purchase, while 15 banks‍ met ‍requests to enhance balances ‍abroad. ⁢A total of 87 exchange⁤ and ​brokerage companies also took part⁢ in‌ the auction.
