jpnn.com – SEMARANG – PDI Perjuangan DPP Chairwoman Puan Maharani said that the 2024 Central Java Regional Head Election is not a star war.
According to him, the 2024 Central Java Pilkada, which many parties have termed a star war, is not true.
“This is not a star war, this is between candidates who happen to have stars. It’s not a star war, it’s really scary,” said Puan Maharani.
Puan conveyed this after attending the PDIP Special Regional Working Meeting (Rakerdasus) for Central Java which discussed strategies and consolidation in facing the regional elections in Central Java.
As is known, two pairs of prospective gubernatorial candidates for Central Java have registered to take part in the 2024 Central Java Pilkada.
The first is Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi who are being supported by the PDI Perjuangan.
Andika Perkasa is a retired four-star general who is also a former Army Chief of Staff and TNI commander.
Hendi is the former Head of the Indonesian Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) and former Mayor of Semarang.
PDIP DPP Chairwoman Puan Maharani emphasized that the Central Java Pilkada was not a war of stars.
