Center North: Sectoral lifting of the measure suspending cash transfer activities
Kaya, July 10, 2023 (AIB)- In a letter dated July 3, 2023 addressed to the heads of structures and agencies intervening in the health sector in the Center-North region, Governor Colonel-Major Zoéwendmanégo Blaise Ouédraogo announces the lifting the measure to suspend cash transfers in the health sector in the region.
“In the health sector, the measure is lifted with regard to cash transfer in favor of pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children. This lifting comes into force as of Monday, July 3, 2023 throughout the regional territory,” reads the press release signed the same day by the governor of the Center-North region, Colonel-Major Zoéwendmanégo Blaise Ouédraogo.
Blaise Ouédraogo invited “all the actors concerned by this measure (…) to set up mechanisms or systems favorable to the transparency and traceability of their interventions on the one hand, and on the other hand, to cultivate the ‘spirit of accountability’.
As a reminder, on March 15, the governor took a previous measure to suspend cash activities.

According to him, “it appeared necessary to discriminate against the application of the (previous) measure (which is still in force)”.
