Ceremonies were held to honor the memory of the National Hero of Azerbaijan Koroglu Rahimov, the heroes of the Patriotic War Zaur Nudiraliyev, Vugar Agayev, Jeyhun Hasanov and the martyr of the Patriotic War Asiman Aliyev, who died in the struggle for the liberation of their native lands from occupation.

As Day.Az was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, during the commemorative ceremonies, military personnel visited the graves of martyrs, met with family members of heroes, and inquired about their problems and concerns.

The ceremonies were attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the public, family members and relatives of martyrs, their comrades in arms, and employees of the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Azi Aslanov.

First, the participants of the ceremonies honored the memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of their homeland with a minute of silence. Accompanied by a military orchestra, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

Speakers at the event spoke about the historical Victory of the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of the President, the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in the Patriotic War, as well as examples of heroism and courage shown by the brave sons of Azerbaijan in other successful military operations.

Then videos were shown telling about the life and combat path of the martyrs.

Family members and relatives of the martyrs expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for the attention and care they received, as well as for the fact that the country honors the bright memory of the heroic sons of the Azerbaijani people who fell in battle.

At the commemorative ceremonies, poems and songs glorifying patriotism and heroism were performed, dedicated to the Azerbaijani martyrs.
