Cergy: 7 years after the conviction of her sexual harasser, Laura Dewitte’s legal marathon continues

by time news

It was in 2006, long before #MeToo. Laura Dewitte had to fight alone for years to denounce sexual harassment within the Chamber of Trades and Crafts (CMA) of Val-d’Oise. The former personnel manager had won her case, in corrections, against her attacker, the secretary general of the CMA. But also, before administrative justice, against his employer at the cost of a nine-year legal marathon and even a hunger strike in front of the premises of Cergy. Today, sixteen years later, it is likely to continue before the courts, for lack of return from the chamber of trades to settle the end of compensation.
