Samsung Receives Certifications for Batteries in Upcoming Galaxy S24 Series

In anticipation of the release of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has recently obtained certifications for the batteries that will power these next-generation flagship phones. Although the official launch of the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra is expected in early 2024, Samsung is leaving no stones unturned as it prepares for their debut.

The batteries for the Galaxy S24 series have been certified by Safety Korea, a South Korean safety certification agency. This certification ensures that the batteries meet all the necessary safety standards. The specific model numbers for the batteries are EB-BS922ABY for the Galaxy S24, EB-BS926ABY for the Galaxy S24+, and EB-BS928ABY for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. These batteries are reportedly manufactured by the Chinese firm ATL (Amperex Technologies Limited).

Although images of the batteries are currently blurry, it has been revealed through other certifications that the Galaxy S24+ will be equipped with a 4,755mAh battery, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a slightly larger capacity battery at 4,855mAh. As for the base Galaxy S24, the battery capacity is yet to be disclosed. It is expected that these phones will advertise battery capacities of approximately 4,900mAh for the Galaxy S24+ and around 5,000mAh for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

One notable feature of these batteries is the inclusion of a blue-colored pull tab, making it easier to remove the batteries from the phone. This decision by Samsung promotes better repairability for its devices. However, it should be noted that this is not a new feature, as even the previous Galaxy S23 series phones incorporated batteries with similar pull tabs.

Additionally, the upcoming Galaxy S24 series is rumored to be powered by either an Exynos 2400 or a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, depending on the region. This will ensure that users experience top-of-the-line performance regardless of their location.

With the necessary certifications in place, Samsung is one step closer to officially unveiling its highly anticipated Galaxy S24 series. As consumers eagerly await further details, it is clear that Samsung continues to prioritize safety and innovation in its flagship smartphone offerings.
