CESE: Referral to the Chamber of Advisors for two studies on small and very small businesses, innovation and economic competitiveness in Morocco

Rabat – The Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) has received a request from the President of the Chamber of Advisors, Enaam Mayara, to prepare two studies on small and very small businesses, as well as on innovation and economic competitiveness in Morocco.

According to a press release from the EESC, the first referral concerns “the contribution of scientific research to innovation, and to the development and strengthening of the competitive capacities of the national economy”, while the second concerns “the challenges of small and very small enterprises in Morocco: growth, modernization and development”.

These two referrals are made in accordance with the provisions of Article 152 of the Constitution and those of Organic Law No. 128.12 relating to the CESE as well as the internal regulations of the Chamber of Councillors, notes the same source.

They are also part of the implementation of the partnership agreement uniting the two institutions with the aim of strengthening their effective and fruitful cooperation relations, and their close and continuous coordination within a framework of complementarity in consultative and legislative roles, particularly in terms of monitoring public policies in the economic, social and environmental fields.
