The researchers follow looking for remains of Cecilia Strzyzowski even under the stones -literally- in Resistencia, capital of the Argentine province of Chaco. In recent days, not only have several records in different properties of the Sena family (accused of the murder) and has been tracked the river environment pointed out by one of the detainees (assistant to the head of the family), but also checked under asphalt of a paved street just after the disappearance of the girl (with a georadar).

The 28-year-old woman entered the house of her in-laws on June 2, a couple of very influential trade unionists close to the Kirchnerist governor Jorge Milton Capitanich, and he never came out again. At least alive. His family was not aware of his disappearance until a few days later. Cecilia and her partner -the young César Sena, 19 years old- had told those around her that they were going to carry out a trip to Ushuaia on the occasion of an offer job that could change their lives.

It was not until June 5 when, thanks to a complaint from a neighbor of the Sena clan, some agents let them know that something terrifying could have happened to him. According to the testimony of the young woman’s mother’s lawyer, Cecilia’s body has been quartered, crushed, burned and scattered with the aim that no one would ever find anything of the girl that could incriminate them. However, his family has recognized some of his belongings among the samples or objects collected during the searches of the properties of these piqueteros (labor leaders, but those who have several houses and people at their service).

On Tuesday, June 20, the researchers located crushed bone remains -which have already been confirmed to be human and could correspond to the phalanx of a foot and a hand– in the Tragadero River. Specifically in the place indicated by Gustavo Obregón, assistant to the Sena family and one of those arrested for the murder of Cecilia. Both he and his wife (also a family employee) were at the crime scene on the date of the investigation. It is believed that they helped the clan dispose of the corpse. He has disassociated himself from the crime and has led the agents to the place where the family would have dumped the girl’s remains.

From there, other registries were carried out in which “positive” findings have also been made. Cecilia’s family lawyer, Fernando Burlando, has been convinced -in statements to the Argentine television channel TN (All News)– that those bones (or what is left of them) belong to Cecilia and the expert reports will confirm this, since they were “in the same place” and presented “the same appearance” than the belongings that the family has managed to identify (which were also cremated).

When we talk about skeletal remains, it is about “small pieces, two centimeters or less”clarifies the lawyer. Although he recalled that today “it is not necessary” to have the victim’s body for those responsible for her death to be convicted, if there is sufficient evidence. In fact, he is convinced that Cecilia’s “murderers” (to which he always refers in the plural) will pay, contrary to what they themselves -who “believed they went unpunished”- thought.

Under the wing of Kirchnerism

“Impunity”, this has been one of the words repeated by the lawyer during the interview with the Argentine channel. It is the wing under which the woman’s crime would have been organized and carried out. “When the Sena clan plans to kill Cecilia in the days before,” he points out, “He would also have planned his impunity”. In her opinion, the trip that she and César were supposed to take – in search of an opportunity to “change their future” – was part of the strategy to try to get out of this situation.

“For a long time, no one would wonder” for the whereabouts of the young woman, he argues. And they would take care of stretching the gum as much as possible. Hence, the days after her disappearance, Cesar will send text messages to the mother of her partner posing as her, to calm her desire to know about her daughter (used to talking to the young woman every day). Possibly, Burlando warns, the idea was for him to continue doing it like this for a long time. In this way, they would have gotten away with it.

“This crime, if one or two more months had passed, it would have been impossible to reconstruct,” he assured. “There are many people who continue to collaborate with this clancleaning up the trail of what they have done… They are crazy, deranged, because of the impunity that the Sena themselves have transmitted to them. But, despite their complicity, in recent days great strides have been made in the investigation of the murder And he predicts that there will be important news in a very short time.

Female intellectual authorship?

Undoubtedly, one of the questions being asked -both by investigators and by those following the case- is whether, as it appears, Marcela Acuña is the intellectual author of the murder. The woman, mother of the young woman’s boyfriend, never wanted me to be a part of his family (of his clan). He tried to separate them by all means.

Those who know the Sena assure that she had a very controlling relationship with her son. Burlando is one of those who think that she could have led the plan to end the life of Cecilia, whom tried to turn into a piquetera -as she defines herself- of pro without success.

“The communications and everything that recreates the bond, the relationship they had, speaks of a situation of great discomfortof a son who was obviously subject to his parents’ designs, and who also grew up with that brand of impunity,” he says.

“Everyone thought that Cecilia could disappear and nobody was going to care“, he asserts. He believes that the young woman was “a deceived woman, who spent a long time thinking that her life was going to change, that she had many illusions.” And all, he adds, “despite having experienced situations of violence.”

“He didn’t realize all this was close to him, because of the love he felt” but “She must have seen everything, because she was involved in this family”, comments his mother’s lawyer who nevertheless believes that there did not have to be a specific reason that was the trigger for the terrible outcome. He considers that the opportunity was given to do so and that -believing that they are unpunished- they did it without further ado.
