Parents at the school Fiona attended received an email from the principal on Tuesday morning informing them of a student’s passing. The communication assured families that grief counselors were made available to meet with students and staff needing emotional support during the difficult period.
Reflections on Family and Recent Hardships
The tragedy follows an intensely challenging period for the family, who spent the previous year recovering from the destruction of their home in the Palisades fire. In early 2025, Lowe shared photographs of his three daughters returning to view the remains of the residence, praising the children for their resilience in the aftermath of the disaster.
“Almost a month after we evacuated, our girls finally got to go back to see what’s left of their home. The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable. I am in awe of their spirit and resilience. Helping them navigate these tough times is my sole purpose. Being their dad is my life’s greatest joy and privilege.”

Public tributes to Fiona highlighted her milestone birthday in November 2025, when her father posted celebratory messages commemorating her entry into her teenage years.
