One accident after another is happening on the road every day. Despite various initiatives, order cannot be restored on the roads. Newly appointed chairman of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Gautam Chandra Pal has sought everyone’s cooperation to restore order on the roads.

On Tuesday (July 2) at the central office of BRTA, during a courtesy meeting with the members of Road Safety Coalition Bangladesh, the Chairman of BRTA sought their help.

He said that since the various organizations included in the Road Safety Coalition have been working on safe roads for a long time, the safe road activities will be strengthened in the future with the cooperation of the coalition.

Sharmin Rahman, road safety project coordinator of Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Kazi Borhan Uddin, road safety project manager of Center for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB), Dhaka International University Associate Professor Md. Bazlur Rahman, Steps Towards Development (STEPS) Coordinator Chandan Lahiri, BRAC Road Safety Program Manager Mainul Islam, National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh Road Safety Project Manager Mohammad Wali Noman, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Project Officer Sharafat-e-Alam and Health Protection Foundation Project Officer Sifat-e-Rabbani and many others.
