The unions called for the general strike in Lokrida and the gathering at the gate of the LARCO factory in Larymna, on Wednesday 17 July at 10.30 am.
With a competitive descent and mobilization at noon on Tuesday outside the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the workers and unions of LARCO gave the first response to the order of the Administrator and essentially of the government, to throw the workers out of the factory premises, as he notified them in a letter at noon on Monday, after the anti-labor court decision of the Court of First Instance of Athens.

The Administrator of the company, after the unacceptable decision of the Single-Member Court of First Instance of Athens to terminate all the contracts of the active staff of LARCO, essentially calls on the workers and their families to leave both the industrial unit and the settlement where they lived for a number of years, throwing them literally on the street!
In his letter, the Administrator states that “all fixed-term employment contracts are automatically terminated today 7/15/2024
the settlement of the payroll will be paid until 31.7.2024″.
In addition, as it states, “within the next few days, the relevant employment certificates will be available for receipt by those interested in DYPA”.
In fact, the Administrator calls on the employees to… “demonstrate the necessary consistency and diligence in order to secure the facilities of LARCO”!
On Wednesday, the workers respond with a strike and a rally at 10.30am outside the factory gate.
