Leaders and experts debate the country’s sustainable energy future
On June 25, at the Swissôtel Quito, prominent leaders in the energy sector will meet at the “Power Renewable Energies: Challenges & Opportunities” forum to analyze the current and future panorama of renewable energies in Ecuador. Organized by Seminarium and chaired by María Rosa Tapia, the event promises to be a platform for projections, investments and sustainable businesses in the country.
The event will feature the participation of the Minister of Energy and Mines, Roberto Luque, who will share the government’s vision on the energy transition. In addition, experts such as Patricia Alborta from CAF and Fabian Calero from CELEC EP will address key topics such as the role of copper in the energy of the future and regulatory development in Latin America.
The program includes discussion panels on the crisis and energy transition, with the participation of the Vice Minister of Mines, Diego Ocampo, and representatives of academic institutions such as ESPOL, who will explore research in renewable energies.
Highlighting the importance of gender and human talent in the energy sector, a panel will be moderated by Arianna Tanca, Minister of Women and Human Rights, along with leaders such as Silvana Pastor of Gente Oil and María Soledad Avendaño Maldonado of Dundee Precious Metals.
The forum will conclude with an economic analysis of the Ecuadorian panorama by Santiago Caviedes of GBS Finance, offering a comprehensive vision of the challenges and opportunities in the energy market for the first half of 2024.
This event not only seeks to inform and educate, but also to promote dialogue and collaboration between key sectors to promote an energy transition towards a more sustainable future in Ecuador.
