We have read a lot of stories and tales of the Chambal dacoits, but hardly anyone has come face to face with them. However, Akshay Kumar is among those who had faced the dangerous dacoits here. He told how he pretended to be asleep when he saw the dacoits and with great difficulty, he survived. This story was narrated by Akshay Kumar himself. Akshay Kumar’s films have not been performing well for a long time, but now there are high expectations from his upcoming film ‘Singham Again’. The recently released film ‘Stree 2’ with Akshay Kumar’s cameo is making a splash at the box office so far. However, the story of the Chambal dacoits is not a story from a film set or shooting, but it really happened to him. In Anupam Kher’s chat show ‘Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’, Akshay Kumar had narrated this heart-wrenching story that happened in real life.

Akshay Kumar had told in the same chat show that once he was travelling in a train and he came to know that dacoits had boarded the train and that too from Chambal. He told his story in detail and said, ‘I had bought goods worth about 4-5 thousand rupees, which included my clothes. All the goods were kept and as soon as Chambal came, the dacoits boarded the train. They came inside my bogie… and I was sleeping.’

‘Slowly they came to me too’

He further said, ‘Actually it happens with me that even a slight sound wakes me up and I saw the robbers…. I told him – son, don’t say anything now, keep sleeping quietly. Now I can see that they are picking up everyone’s belongings, and slowly they came to me too and picked up my belongings too. If I would have made noise, they would have shot me.’

‘They took away all my belongings, they didn’t even leave my slippers’

The actor said, ‘I am watching and crying… then they took away all the luggage, they didn’t even leave my slippers. They even took away the slippers of people kept under the seat. Understand that they didn’t leave anything, I had luggage worth Rs 4500 and when I got down at Delhi Station, I had no luggage in my hand.’

Will be seen in ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’

Let us remind you that all three of Akshay Kumar’s films ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Sarfira’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ failed at the box office. He will soon be seen in Priyadarshan’s ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’.
