Champions League Clash: Røde Stjerne and Bodø/Glimt Gear Up for High-Stakes Playoff in Belgrade

by time news

BEOGRAD/OSLO (Nettavisen): Red Star has decided that the teams will warm up on their own fields before the Champions League playoff match in Belgrade on Wednesday evening.

The home team will warm up alone on a separate field outside the stadium. Glimt, on the other hand, must do their final preparations alone inside the Rajko Mitic stadium in front of their home fans.

– Totally indifferent

It is expected to be nearly a full house with around 50,000 spectators who will do everything they can to help Red Star advance to the group stage.

– Where the opponent warms up is completely indifferent to me. It’s nice that we get to warm up alone, Kjetil Knutsen started at Tuesday’s press conference.

– It means nothing. There is too much talk about all of that outside the lines. This match is played within the lines and it starts at 21:00, Knutsen continued.

Bodø/Glimt has taken several precautions ahead of the match in Serbia. The club has brought their own chef and several security personnel, and they have also made plans for various unforeseen situations that may arise.

– So far, everything has gone really well. But we have taken precautions, so we are ready for what awaits us on that front, says the club’s media officer Simen Pedersen.

Reacted to the question: – Are you joking now?

Knutsen was also asked whether Bodø/Glimt can even play at Aspmyra if they qualify for the Champions League.

– Are you joking now?, Knutsen started before continuing.

– I thought it was a bit of a strange question. If you were from Serbia, I would have understood the question. Of course, the matches will be played in Bodø, but first and foremost, I think we should focus on the match tomorrow, and then we can talk after the game, says Knutsen.

Bodø/Glimt leads 2–1 from the home meeting in Bodø.
